In keeping with her mission to bring life to the naval traditions of the early 19th century, LYNX has been fitted with historic artillery: four six-pounder carronades and four half-pounder swivel guns. Her crew wears uniforms of the 1812 period. These two-masted vessels with heavily raked spars were renowned for their swiftness and maneuverability, which made them ideal as privateers or naval dispatch schooners.
